The heart of missionary activities is Gospel Proclamation for the purposes of leading others to faith in Jesus Christ. At Crosspoint church, we believe that our mission is to advance the Gospel through the support of personal, local, and global evangelism. Our aim is to provide prayerful spiritual, physical, and financial support to individuals and organizations who are proclaiming the Gospel as the primary emphasis of their work. This is our aim as we believe that “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God” (Romans 10:17).

This aim is not to denigrate individuals and organizations whose focus is meeting physical needs. We affirm the necessity for Christians to meet physical needs as it is by our works that our faith is made known (James 2:8, 14-16). Nevertheless, it is meeting the spiritual needs of those who are in darkness where we are convicted to aim our church resources (Acts 4:12, Romans 3:23, 5:6-11), while at the same time encouraging our individual members to be involved in the meeting the physical needs in our local community and by so doing give evidence of our faith and opportunity for Gospel Proclamation.

We ourselves are the fruit of mission work. Acts 1:8 was Jesus’ commands to carry the gospel to all the world, and we are the ends of the world. As such, we should be reminded of our obligation to continue carrying the Gospel to those who have not heard.

Crosspoint Church strives to focus our missions’ efforts into two main categories.

• Reaching the Unreached – We intend to make the thrust of our mission efforts towards unreached people groups. In the short term we will look to invite individuals or organizations whose focus is Gospel proclamation into our vision. By so doing, we can focus our limited resources, striving to make Christ known to those who have never heard the name Jesus.
• Equipping the Church – We also seek to encourage and equip the Crosspoint body to participate in evangelism and outreach in their workplaces, neighborhoods, and families. 

Crosspoint will see the vision brought to fruition through the following means:

• Corporately: Equip and encourage individual members of the body to participate in evangelism, prayer, giving, and action geared towards evangelism and caring for our community.
• Locally: Partner with local ministries whose aim is Gospel Proclamation. We will also work to build up other local churches to be more equipped for Gospel work.
• Globally: In the short-term, we will search for missionaries who are focused on gospel proclamation to a targeted people group. In the long-term, we seek to disciple and grow the Crosspoint body such that we begin sending out members of our own fellowship to the unreached (2 Timothy 2:2).

To encourage and mobilize our body, Crosspoint church will view missions and outreach activities in the following tiers:

• Tier 1: These are individuals or organizations that Crosspoint has fully invested in, prayerfully, financially, physically, and emotionally. We push our body to engage with these missionaries and organizations. These will be entities focused on Gospel proclamation to the unreached and the edification of the local (Enid) church. These individuals will be the focus of our short-term missions’ trips and long-term discipling for the purpose of sending others to work alongside them.
• Tier 2: These are individuals or organizations which we highly encourage the Crosspoint body to support, but which Crosspoint church does not actively give to. We will encourage the body to visit, pray for, and support these missionaries from the overflow of our resources, but we cannot commit to a regular, deliberate means of support.
• Tier 3: These are individuals or organizations which Crosspoint can provide information on, but which we offer no formal support.
